The Many Types Of Bicycles
Bicycles are becoming an increasingly popular way to exercise and have fun. Some have even gone as far as saying that cycling is the new golf. So whether you are interested in picking up on it or you want to get your kids started in it, it is a great activity that can either be competitive or just for fun. If you are new to it, the first thing to do is decide on which type you want. This should be based on what you plan on doing, as cruisers are very different from racing bikes.
Many people are finding that beach cruisers are a very comfortable way to get around town or just go for a joy ride. They can be expensive, but there are plenty of cheap options as well. In addition to these, a lowrider bike or tandem bikes are good options for people that want to go for a leisurely ride. You will find that most retailers sell a wide variety of these, and you can also get them used for sale. On the other hand, if you want to get a good amount of exercise with your Bicycle you will have to pay a little bit more.
There are two types of Bicycles that can be used for exercise. A mountain bike and a racing bike. Mountain bikes are designed with heavier metal and thicker tires to allow you to go on different types of terrain, while the racing types are built with the lightest metal possible and extra thin tires for maximum speed. Both are very effective in the proper environments, and both can be very fun to ride. If you have the ability to go through many different types of terrain, you would probably be better off going with a mountain bike than a racing one. The opposite, of course, is true for those that live in the city.
